President Bola Tinubu has signed the amended Electoral Act 2026, setting the stage for the 2027 elections and renewing debates on electronic result transmission.
The President signed the amended electoral act at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday, with principal officers of the National Assembly in attendance.
Recall that the National Assembly passed the bill on Tuesday amidst reservation from opposition Lawmakers.
