2023 Presidential Election: INEC Declares Tinubu Winner

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the All Progressives Congress Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of 2023 Presidential election.

INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmod Yakubu on Wednesday made the official pronouncement at National Collation Centre, Abuja.

Tinubu polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat two major challengers; Atiku Abubakar of Peoples Democratic Party and Peter Obi of Labour Party in February 25 election.

The former Lagos State Governor secured highest number of votes and 25% of votes in 27 states to met constitutional requirements.

Atiku garnered 6,984,520 votes to emerge second while Peter Obi had 6,101,533 votes in third position and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of NNPP score 4,496,687 votes.

FactualTimes reports that 25,286,616 voters were accredited during the election while 24,965,218 cast their votes.
