2027: Peter Obi, Southeast Senators Join ADC

As part of plans to contest 2027 Presidential election, Flformer Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Peter Obi joined ADC at Nike Lake Hotel, Enugu on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

Obi in his speech cited his desire to “transform and rescue Nigeria” as reason for joining the coalition.

FactualTimes reports that serving Senators on the platform of APGA and Labour Party also defected to ADC with the former Anambra State Governor.

Prominent South-East politicians and lawmakers joining him include former Deputy Speaker Emeka Ihedioha, Senators Ben Obi, Victor Umeh, Alaribe and Tony Nwoye.
