2nd Year in Office: Customs Hails Abdulrazaq on Tractors Procurement

The Nigeria Customs Service has applauded Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State for procuring 15 tractors to boost Agriculture, especially rice production, FactualTimes reports.

The Kwara Area Command Controller, Comptroller HB Ahmed fsi gave this commendation in a congratulatory message to Governor Abdulrazaq to mark his second year in office.

Comp Ahmed in copy of the letter made available to FactualTimes on Monday said the act will help the service in suppression of smuggling of foreign rice and discourage importation of foreign rice into the state and the country at large.

The statement read:

”It is my pleasure and honor as the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller HB Ahmed fsi to extend my heartfelt congratulations on behalf of Nigeria Customs Service, Officers and men of the Kwara Area Command on your two years anniversary in office.

”I sincerely congratulate you and send best wishes for your successes and wisdom in discharging the responsibilities as an Executive Governor of Kwara State.

”On Wednesday the 26th of May, 2021 the whole world watched as you commissioned FIFTEEN (15) NEW TRACTORS and several modern farm implements, effectively giving bite to the mechanization component of the recently launched state agricultural transformation plan to boost food security.
”Your Excellency sir, this singular act will not only help the service in suppression of smuggling of foreign rice but will equally discouraged importation of same into the state and the country at large.
I firmly believe that the state will continue to reap the benefit of our joint initiatives in the field of security and economic activities to thrive.
Finally, I look forward for continues cooperation and collaboration in discharging our responsibilities of Suppression of Smuggling, Trade Facilitation and Revenue collection in Kwara State.”
