35-year-old PDP Candidate Defeats Yobe Speaker
A 35-year-old candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidatefor Nguru II Constituency, Musa Lawan has defeated the Speaker Yobe State House of Assembly, Ahmed Mirwa Lawan.
The Independent National Electoral Commission returning officer, Habib Muhammad declared Musa Lawan winner of March 18 election.
He polled 6,648 votes while the Speaker who is the All Progressives Congress Candidate had 6,466 votes.
Lawan has been in the House of Assembly since 2003 when he was chosen as a member on the platform of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP).
