A Sallah To Remember: Hon Abdulkareem  Shittu Shares Food To Constituents

In a heartwarming display of kindness and dedication to his community, Honourable Abdulkareem Olugbenga Shittu has initiated a rice-sharing programme for the residents of Ikorodu Community. This generous act is a testament to his commitment to the well-being of his community, especially during these challenging times.

The rice-sharing programme, which began on 22nd Of June, 2024, at Allison Street in Ikorodu area of Lagos, witnessed a large turn-out of people from Ikorodu and it’s environment. The largesse was made available not only to his party members; but it was all-encompassing as it included all tribes and others who were interested. In all, large numbers of beneficiaries were recorded. The rice distribution to his community members is meant to bring succour and provide essential support to families who are struggling to make ends meet, and to help lighten the hardship and burden people faced during festive periods.

Honourable Abdulkareem Olugbenga Shittu has taken it upon himself to ensure that no one in Ikorodu goes without a staple food, and his efforts have been met with immense gratitude and appreciation.

Speaking while handling the bags of rice and cash gifts to the beneficiaries, the chairman SHITTU PROGRESSIVE ALLIANCE; Comrade M.S. Hassan said “the primary aim of the gesture was to assist the government and to encourage our people that Nigeria will be great again”. The event had Mr Shina Jayesimi, Mr Jatto with all Coordinators from all the LCDA’S in attendance.

The rice-sharing programme is just one of the many initiatives undertaken by Honourable Shittu to improve the lives of his community. His selflessness and compassion have earned him a reputation as a true leader and champion of the people.

According to the humanitarian; Hon. Abdulkareem Olugbenga Shittu, “This may not be enough, but with this little, I believe it will go a long way in supporting some families to meet their needs after the Sallah.”

He said: “It is my own little way of giving back to my community, we just finished the festive period. He said, ” President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration will continue to do more to cushion the effects of hardship that Nigerians are facing. We should all have patience with Mr President.

“I am humbled to be in a position to make a difference in the lives of my people” said Honourable Shittu. “Food is a basic human right, and I am committed to be doing everything in my power to support my community.”

Mr Shina Jayesimi, APC faithful, called on the beneficiaries to embrace the gesture in good faith and that they should believe in the Renewed Hope agenda of the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking on behalf of all the beneficiaries, Mrs Eniola Olorunda appreciated Honourable Abdulkareem Olugbenga Shittu’s kind gesture, saying the people of the community had never had it this good.

She called for prayers and support of the people of the Ikorodu for Honourable Shittu so that he can succeed in all his endeavours and political goals in order for him to continue to enrich the lives of the people.
