… Receives NDDC Board, Says Funeral Will Hold in February

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyetidawa has described his late boss as a man of great repute and visionary leader with great penchant for truth and integrity.

Aiyetidawa states this on Tuesday while receiving the chairman  Governing Board of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr Chiedu Ebie and other members of the board on a condolence visit at Government House, Alagbaka.

In his words “It is a period of grief but God knows best. Our late Governor was a man of great repute. A visionary leader. A leader with integrity. Whatever comes out of his mouth, he will stand by it. He speaks to authority no matter whose ox is gored”

While announcing the state’s readiness to give Akeredolu a befitting burial in February, Aiyedatiwa declared that Aketi’s demise is the transition of a Saint and enjoined everyone to celebrate the great accomplishments of his late boss who constructed the first ever overhead bridge in the history of the state as well as subdued the impassable rocky Alábòójútó hill, produced the first ever female SSG, first Ilaje Deputy Governor and subsequently, produced the first Ilaje Governor even in death.

Mr Ebie enumerated the invaluable contributions of the late Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, to the development of the legal profession as well as his honest posture on National issues.

“Ondo state is an integral part of the commission. We have come to condole with the government and people of Ondo state on the demise of Aketi, a man of deep candor who contributed immensely not just to the development of the legal profession in Nigeria but also to the wellbeing of Ondo state” Ebie said.

The meeting had in attendance Ondo state cabinet members led by the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, who joined the Governor to warmly receive the NDDC team.
