BTA FOUNDATION RELEASES LIST OF ONLINE BANKING SCHEME BENEFICIARIES

The BTA Foundation led by Amofin Titilope Akogun has released list of the first batch  beneficiaries of its Online Banking Empowerment Scheme.

In fulfillment of its promise, the Foundation is empowering 50 beneficiaries with Point of Sale (POS) terminals for commercial transactions and a startup seed grant of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira (₦25,000) each.

This initiative is part of a broader vision to build a financially inclusive and entrepreneurial society, especially among young people and women across the Kwara South region.

The Foundation has further promised to grant access to higher capital after an initial three-month period to beneficiaries who demonstrate strong performance and responsible operations.

The Ekiti Local Government Area list leads this release, with lists from the remaining three participating LGAs to be published daily throughout the week.

This multi-million Naira investment is designed not only to kick-start micro-enterprises in the financial services space but also to build stable financial support providers within the community.

As part of the scheme, beneficiaries will undergo training sessions covering operational efficiency, financial discipline, and business growth strategies. The Foundation has committed to follow-up support to ensure each beneficiary is given the best chance to thrive and expand.

This scheme adds to the long track record of impactful interventions by the Foundation since its inception in 2017, including:

Mechanized Agricultural Revolution Project (MARP2018) – empowering rural farmers;
Operation Safe Water – repair and construction of boreholes across communities;
Support for 5 Women Per Ward (2021) – micro-grants to small-scale traders;
Educational Scholarships for over 132 pupils;
Distribution of 32,000+ educational materials and 151 JAMB forms under the Igi Iwe educational scheme;
The Go Corporate Initiative – registration of 40 free companies for local entrepreneurs with the Corporate Affairs Commission;
Oyinbo Farmer’ Training Program – upskilling 101 youth and women in food export, digital marketing, and supply chain, including a ₦50,000 startup grant to beneficiaries grant at the grand.
Feed A Family: that provides food items and cash to families who are beneficiaries.

The BTA Foundation continues to call on all — young and old — to support its mission of building a more prosperous, empowered, and inclusive Kwara South through sustained community-driven interventions.
