BTA Foundation Releases Modalities for Onboarding, POS Terminals/Cash Presentation
In line with our commitment to transparency, efficiency, and community empowerment, the BTA Foundation hereby announces the modalities for onboarding and presentation of cash and POS terminals to selected beneficiaries under the Online Banking 2025 Scheme.
1. Onboarding Process
Eligibility:
✅Your name must have been shortlisted under your Local Government final list.
✅You must be an indigene or resident of the benefiting local government area in Kwara South.
✅Must demonstrate a genuine interest in starting or scaling a small business.
We will commence with Ekiti LGA.
By 1st of August, 2025, all the 15 beneficiaries would have been onboarded, as your details need to be registered with your POS terminal.
You will receive an onboarding link in your email and on your registered WhatsApp number with us.
Upon successful completion of your POS validation, all beneficiaries would receive their terminals in one location in Ekiti LGA on a date that will be announced after the POS validations.
We hope to have completed the POS validation by 7th August, 2025 for Ekiti Local Government, then we can move to Isin, then to Oke Ero and finally to Irepodun Local Government beneficiaries.
We urge you all to please comply swiftly with our team to ensure a seamless experience.
Required Documents: Valid means of identification (Voter’s card, NIN, or National ID). Recent passport photograph.
Completed application form (available on the onboarding platform).
2. Presentation Ceremony
Date & Venue: Beneficiaries will be informed of the date, time, and venue for the presentation in their respective local government areas.
Items to be Presented: Moniepoint POS Terminal with user guide and setup instructions. Startup Grant of N25,000 (disbursed via bank transfer or cash, depending on preference/logistics).
Operational Training Session on the same day, covering POS usage, basic business management, and customer service.
3. Post-Presentation Support
Monitoring & Mentorship:
Beneficiaries will be assigned a BTA Foundation field officer for monitoring and guidance. Business performance will be evaluated after 3 months.
Capital Upgrade Opportunity:
Beneficiaries who utilize the support effectively may qualify for capital increase in subsequent phases.
Note: Beneficiaries must not sell or transfer the POS machines. Any misuse will result in revocation and ineligibility for future support.
