Buko Gets Another National Assignment
Musa Idris Buko, a forthright politician and prominent advocate of holistic good governance and sustainable development has been appointed a Member, Advisory Board of NotTooYoungToLead, a renowned youth-focused organization in Africa.
As one of the youngest House of Representatives of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, in the 2023 general elections, Buko has shown the unwavering commitment of young people to lead the nation to the days of glory. This appointment surely marks a significant milestone in the NotTooYoungToLead’s commitment to fostering youth empowerment and inclusion in decision-making processes.
As a distinguished young politician and public affairs analyst, Buko brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Advisory Board. As the former Chairman of the Coalition of Kwara North Groups (CKNG) and a Candidate for the House of Representatives in the 2023 national elections, his dedication to grassroots needs assessment and community development has been exemplary.
Buko’s journey has been marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence and service to humanity, which makes him an epitome of versatility. His educational background in Fisheries Technology, Fisheries, Business Administration (General Management) and other topnotch leadership courses and trainings; coupled with his extensive career in both the public, private and corporate sectors, reflect his commitment to multidisciplinary growth and innovation.
Throughout his career, Musa Idris Buko has championed impactful initiatives aimed at addressing the needs of marginalized communities such as leading the drafting of a Bill for the establishment of Kwara State Character and Equal Opportunities Commission (KWASCEOC) as the pioneer Chairman, Coalition of Kwara North Groups (CKNG) which had long been submitted to the Kwara State House of Assembly in 2021 for legislative actions.
Empowering young people for self-reliance, through practical and professional skills acquisition mentorship has been another hallmark of his career, while at different time, also providing training workshops and empowerments for commercial drivers on safety practices to prevent loss of lives and properties from fire accidents, repairing broken hospital beds, fixing boreholes, rural roads critical sections repair and educational interventions. These contributions have left an indelible mark on his Constituency.
As a Member of the Advisory Board of NotTooYoungToLead, Musa Idris Buko will continue his advocacy for youths inclusiveness and all-inclusive sustainable developments in Africa.
Alongside the Chairman, who is a renowned and internationally celebrated young intelligent and versatile leader are other distinguished Members. These appointments underscores the organization’s dedication to nurturing exemplary leadership and amplifying the voices of young leaders across the continent.
According to a statement released on Friday, 19th April, 2024 by the organization’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Amb. Elvis Akpobi; “Joining Lawal on the advisory board are Monicah Mbiyu from Kenya, Ambassador Samuel J. Kpator from Liberia, Ambassador Musa Idris Buko from Nigeria, and Ambassador Ousman Touray from The Gambia.”
