CELF 3.0: HICA Holds Dialogue With Kwara South Coordinators
… As candidates sit for qualifying exam
As part of its pre-camping activities, the Haashim Initiative for Community Advancement (HICA) team, the organiser of the Countryside Emerging Leaders Fellowship (CELF) on Saturday held a consultative dialogue with the CELF coordinators from the Kwara South senatorial district in an attempt to sensitize them on the objectives and expected outcomes of the intervention programme.
A statement issued on Sunday by CELF Publicity Secretary, Abdulrasheed Saadudeen says the dialogue afforded the coordinators the opportunity to learn about their roles while they also shared their perspectives on areas through which mutual partnership can further be deepened.
FactualTimes reports that the team also conducted a qualifying examination for candidates who were selected across the seven Local Government Areas of Kwara South senatorial district.
At least two candidates represented each of the participating schools. Upon the completion of the exercise, best students from each of the fourteen schools, representing the seven local governments in the senatorial district, will be selected to participate at the third edition of CELF.
The event, which took place at Government Secondary School Oke-Onigbin in Isin Local Government of Kwara State, also featured presentations on community development, CELF as well as interactive session.
It would be recalled that candidates who had written and passed five subjects in Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations were selected from schools in rural areas of the State.
