The Haashim Initiative for Community Advancement (HICA) has postponed camping for Countryside Emerging Leadership Fellowship (CELF) fellows till December 1, 2020 following disruption of ongoing National Examination Council (NECO) examination due to nationwide #ENDSARS Protests.
HICA in a statement issued by CELF Secretary, Saadudeen Abdulrasheed on Thursday said camp was earlier scheduled for Wednesday 28th of October to Tuesday 10 of November, 2020.
Saadudeen said Fellows will have the opportunity to develop their team building skills by delivering assigned tasks as well as receive mentoring from inspiring individuals on community development and social habits, during Camping session holding December 1 to December 14.
Other arrangements for the camping exercise, including medicals, facilitators and resource persons would be communicated in due course.
”Meanwhile, we would like to thank donors and sponsors, both individual and corporate, who have supported us to deliver on the vision of CELF. We also plead for more support to enable us deliver the maiden edition of this inspiring human development project in accordance with best global standard.” He added
CELF is an equal opportunity leadership training platform for young secondary school leavers, especially those from the rural areas. The objective is to groom informed youths who are non-urban settlers to have sufficient exposure and training which would afford them the opportunity to contribute to the development of rural communities.
