Faleke, Tunde Irukera Join Kogi Guber Race

Following the release of time table for 2019 Kogi governorship election, Hon James Faleke and Babatunde Irukera have began consultation ahead APC primary election.

The running mate of Abubakar Audu in 2015 governorship race and representative of Ikeja Federal Constituency, Hon. Abiodun James Faleke is jostling to contest APC ticket with Gov. Yahaya Bello as he meets Tinubu, Osinbajo and other stakeholders.

Recall that Faleke was denied the opportunity to step in as Governor elect after demise of Audu on election day.

Our correspondent gathered that Faleke has met informed his supporters in Kogi state about the next move.

Similarly, the Chairman of Consumer Protection Agency, Babatunde Irukera who the first son of Elegbe of Egbe might join the governorship race soon.

Many political watchers in the state see Faleke as Lagos based politician as he has been reelected to represent Ikeja Federal Constituency in House of Representatives.

Incumbent Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello might face many challenges to win APC ticket due to his perceived last of popularity among the masses.
