The Foundation for Civilian Peace in Nigeria (FCPN) has keyed into Peace building and crisis prevention strategy of President Muhammadu Buhari administration towards tackling insecurity in the country.
Recall that President Buhari during 2019 National Security Summit charged Nigerians to take ownership of the security situation by alerting relevant agencies, if they suspect strange movement in their community
Foundation for Civilian Peace in Nigeria, a non-government organization with members across the country will be launched in Abuja December 8, 2020. The Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, Muritala Nyako, Governor Yahaya Bello, Prince Arthur Eze, Prince Ned Nwoko, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero and Others will grace the grand launching at Nicon Luxury Hotel Abuja.
The foundation comprising patriotic Nigerians working round the clock to ensure restoration of peace in volatile areas and maintain peace as well as tranquility across 36 states and Federal Capital Territory to prevail way for development of the country.
FCPN inline with its slogan of Securing Peace of the nation have designed strategy and template to promote peace, security and stability in Nigeria. No nation can grow at rapid pace amidst kidnapping, banditry, civil unrest, communal conflict, rural violence and other insecurity issues bedevilling this country.
It’s therefore imperative for security agencies including Nigerian Armed Forces to embrace the lofty idea to promote civil-military engagement and dialogue as the Foundation for Civilian Peace in Nigeria headed by CDR Manu Yagdah are going all out to spread message of peace and hope.
