Governor Sim Fubara has directed Director of Personnel Management of 23 local government areas in Rivers State to take over affairs of the councils.
Fubara announced this on Tuesday in a statewide broadcast following expiration of elected Chairmen and Councillors tenure.
The Chairmen and Councillors completed their three years tenure on June 17, 2024.
They were sworn-in by Nyesom Wike in 2021.
