Gombe Governor Attends Subnational Consultations on Tax Reform
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is participating in the two-day Subnational Consultations and Engagement with the Presidential Committee on Tax Reform.
The high- level meeting, organized under the auspices of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), chaired by Kwara State Governor, Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman, is being held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
The event, has in attendance governors from across the federation, key stakeholders; including relevant ministers, the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Tax Reform, Commissioners of Finance, State Attorneys-General, Accountants-General, and Chairpersons of State Internal Revenue Services.
The Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Tax Reform, Taiwo Oyedele, is leading his team on the consultation with the governors on the proposed Tax Reform Bills which are currently before the two chambers of the National Assembly.
