His motorcade also made a stopover at the newly built ultramodern 200-bed Capacity Kumo General Hospital for a brief inspection after which it proceeded to Akko Local Government Secretariat where the governor addressed hundreds of supporters and admirers.

Addressing the crowd, Governor Inuwa Yahaya said he was at Kumo, the headquarters of Akko LGA to express gratitude to the people of the area for electing APC candidates at all levels.

“People of Akko have uniformly elected APC candidates from top to bottom. This is indeed remarkable and we are very grateful. We will, insha Allah continue to cherish and uphold this confidence with utmost trust by ensuring that we consolidate on the achievements we recorded in our first tenure”, he said.

He observed that in the past, the tradition was for people to be trooping to the Government House to congratulate a governor for winning elections. But for him it is the other way round, hence a leader is always a servant of his people.

The governor lamented the increasing rate of incidences relating to youth restiveness in the LGA which poses threat to the security and social well-being of the generality of the people, promising to deploy all necessary security apparatus to tackle the menace ruthlessly.

He observed that despite some setbacks experienced during the Presidential and National Assembly elections in the LGA, APC in the state was able to retrace its steps and forge a common front which led to the overwhelming victory of the party in the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.

He assured the people of Yamaltu/Deba that his administration will remain resolute towards consolidating on breakthroughs so far achieved by his government in the first tenure which is notably visible in all nooks and crannies of the LGA and the state entirely.

While enjoining the people to continue supporting his policies and programmes towards ensuring that he delivers on all the promises he made and lots more, Governor Inuwa dedicated his victory at the polls to the people saying, “our victory in the elections is not for us alone it is a victory for democracy against autocracy and indeed a victory for the entire people of Gombe State”.

The governor equally restated his determination to end youth restiveness in Yamaltu/Deba LGA and the entire state, promising to take stern measures toward ending the menace of ‘Kalare’ and its sponsors.
