Governor Adeleke’s Ally, Sunday Bisi Emerges As Osun PDP Chairman

A strong ally of Governor Ademola Adeleke, Hon Sunday Bisi has been elected as Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State.

Hon Sunday Bisi, a former Caretaker Chairman of Osun PDP emerged during the State Congress held on Wednesday in Osogbo.

Osun PDP Chairman hails from Ori-Ade local government area. He earlier served as the State Chapter spokesman.

Meanwhile, Member-elect for Odo-Otin State Constituency, Hon Adewale Egbedun has congratulated the new PDP Chairman, describing his choice by delegates at the just concluded Congress as a reward for excellence.

Hon. Egbedun who extolled Hon. Bisi as an excellent administrator who is capable of taking the party further higher, declared in a congratulatory message he personally signed on Wednesday that Osun PDP is in the right hand.

The House of Assembly Speakership hopeful also congratulated other members of the State Working Committee (SWC) of the PDP in the state, noting that their new positions is a trust they must not fail party members.

He applauded Governor Ademola Adeleke for the leadership he showed in navigating the party out of the landmines created by detractors, saying “the success of this Congress is yet another testament of Mr. Governor’s incredible leadership and a pointer to the many progress for this party that awaits under him.”

He eulogized the Caretaker Chairman of the party, Dr. Akindele Adekunle, and his team for the impressive job they did in navigating Osun PDP out of turbulence, applauding them for the character and discipline they showed in entrenching stability in the party.

“After so much distractions and calculated attempts to frustrate the progress of Osun PDP, I am extremely delighted that we scaled through and today, open the door of a new chapter for our great party,” Hon. Egbedun noted.

“With the successful conduct of Congress and the election of Honourable Sunday Bisi as Chairman, it is safe to preface a future of bloom and glory for Osun PDP. Hon. Bisi is a leader of impeccable character, whose dedications to this party put every mind at rest that the future of this party will get more better.

“I also congratulate other members of the executives elected by the delegates. Their elections is an affirmation of the trust in their capacity to serve this party and I am hopeful that will reciprocate those trusts with excellent performance in their new roles.”
