Kwara State Governor, Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed has clinched the People Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial ticket for Kwara South in the 2019 general elections.
Governor Ahmed was on Thursday affirmed as the consensus candidate of PDP by all delegates from the seven local government councils of Kwara South Senatorial district at the zonal primaries held in Omu Aran.
He emerged as consensus candidate after current Senator representing the zone, Dr Rafiu Ibrahim stepped down for the governor.
Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed who hails from Share in Ifelodun local government will end his term as governor on May 29, 2019.
