Hakeem Lawal Replies Oyedepo, Says ‘Some Politicians Have Unrealistic Financial Expectations’

The Social Democratic Party governorship candidate in 2023 general elections, Hakeem Lawal has tactically replied Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo on funding of his election.

Hakeem Lawal while featuring on Sobi FM Ilorin on Saturday said he funded his campaign by providing allowances and logistics for campaign structure.

This coming few weeks after Iyiola Oyedepo, a member of SDP Campaign organisation said Hakeem Lawal did not have enough money to fund the election.

His words: “It’s surprising that some people said I didn’t fund my governorship election. I provided transportation for tour of 16 local government areas, reach out stakeholders during the visit and pay allowances for campaign structure. May be some Politicians have unrealistic financial expectations. May be they were expecting to make more money during our campaigns.”
