I’m Enjoying Offa Stakeholders’ Support Due To My Antecedent -PDP Candidate
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship Candidate in Offa local government, Hon. Lukman Salahudeen has unveiled his 5-point agenda ahead of September 21 Kwara State local government elections.
Comrade Lukman Salahudeen fondly called Eluku Omo Adugbo disclosed this on Friday during a Media Chat with selected Online Media platforms in Offa.
He said his 5-point agenda will bring succour and comfort to people of the local government amidst economic hardship in the country.
According to Salahudeen, my 5-point agenda include security, economic empowerment, road construction, improvement in education sector and upgrade of health care facilities in Offa local government.
His words: “I am happy that the Supreme Court has granted financial autonomy to local government through a case initiated by President Bola Tinubu. The President understands the importance of local government autonomy to grassroots development. This autonomy can only work for the people when we elect credible candidate that won’t be a puppet to the Governor.
“When elected to office, our administration would boost internally generated revenue of Offa local government through investment in economic activities such as agriculture, ICT and tourism by working with traditional institution to promote Ijakadi festival to gain national/international attention and tourism sites like Moremi and others. The 5-point agenda will be actualized through Public-Private-Partnership. I implore our people to vote PDP in the forthcoming local government elections.”
On his running mate choice, Salahudeen said: “We have established a balance formation by choosing the Vice Chairmanship Candidate from the Christian Community and also for a gender balance equation. The other party chose an elderly woman to be the Vice Chairmanship Candidate, that’s why our agenda has been tagged as a bridge between the community and government”.
The PDP Chairmanship Candidate said Stakeholders and people of Offa local government are rooting for him due to his antecedents, credible and competence.
