Imo 2023: Senator Anyanwu Emerges As PDP Candidate

Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu had emerged the Peoples Democratic Partys (PDP) candidate for 2023 Imo governorship election.

Senator Anyanwu who served as  PDP National Secretary emerged during Party’s Primary Election at State secretariat  in Owerri.

The seven-member electoral panel constituted by the National Working Committee led by Kenneth Okon is present to observe the primary in Imo, according to the PDP’s state organizing secretary, Lawrence Biado.

Emeka Ihedioha, a former governor of the state, was noticeably missing. Ihedioha withdrew from the PDP governorship contest weeks prior.

Anyanwu is anticipated to run against All Progressives Congress (APC) governor Hope Uzodimma for reelection.
