Impeached Kano Speaker Accepts His Impeachment

The impeached Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusif Abdullahi Atta has accepted his impeachment in good faith, saying it was premeditated by God Almighty.

Speaking with newsmen in Kano, Atta said that the allegations leveled against him were far from the truth, describing them as malicious purposely fabricated to tarnish his image.

The former Speaker noted that he has been doing everything possible to give a sense of belongings to the entire House members, including the Kwankwasiya group members and the only PDP lawmaker in the House.

Hon. Atta challenged those who accused him of embezzlement to explain to the general public in a clear term how the offence was committed.

He however believed that the unfolding incident in the house was divinely predetermined by the Supreme Creator, therefore accepting the outcome in good faith. He wished the new House leaders well in their endeavors.

Recall that Hon Abdullahi Atta was removed on Monday by members of Kano State House of Assembly.
