Youths have been described as the engine room for peace and development of the society as well as the nation.
Executive Director, Conscientious Youth Empowerment Foundation’s (CYEF)- Comrade George Oyeyiola stated this via a statement issued on Saturday in commemoration of International Youth Day (IYD).
According to him, a society without a vibrant youthful population in politics, business and governance speaks doom.
“Imagine having a society where her youths are voiceless without the needed power to make that change. Such society are on a keg of gun powder that takes time before it explodes”, he added.
Comrade Oyeyiola added that youths across the globe are fast taking position in righting the wrongs in scheme of things but more is needed to be done to fully harness her potentials for all round true development.
He used the occasion to remind youths in Kwara State, that CYEF as a youth focused civic society will stop at nothing in seeing that young adults are gainfully engaged and empowered with a reminder that the organisation’s windows are very much open to have more persons volunteer to champion a noble course for societal development.
In his words, “Provided you’re youthful, feel free to visit our website: www.conscientiousyouth.org and follow the link to volunteer, so we can together build the society of our taste”.
