Kogi 2023: I’ll Give All APC Aspirants Level Playing Ground
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has promised to give all governorship aspirants on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) for 2023 governorship primary election level playing ground.
Governor Yahaya Bello disclosed on Saturday while reacting to suspension of APC National Working Committee member, Hon. Murtala Yakubu.
The Governor cautioned all aspirants against bickerings that can undermine the peace and unity of the Party ahead of April 10 primary election and November poll.
Bello in a statement issued on Saturday by State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, says the best candidate will emerge through the Primaries.
The statement read in part: “The Governor, as the leader of our great party in Kogi State, warns against bickerings that can undermine the peace and unity that the APC has been known for under his leadership. He has therefore directed all aspirants in the forthcoming governorship primaries in the state to focus on their strengths in wooing party members and refrain from divisive tendencies in the interest of the party.
“Our party will ensure a fair playing ground for the best candidate to emerge in the primary election and together we shall win the governorship election, with a wide margin, in November.”
Bello therefore wishes all aspirants successful screening.
