Kogi 2023: Ododo Receives Certificate of Return

Winner of Kogi 2023 governorship election, Alhaji Usman Ododo has received Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
INEC National Commissioner in Charge of North Central, Professor Adam Sani Muhammed presented certificates of returns to Ododo and deputy governor-elect, Joel Oyibo Salifu on Friday at the Electoral Body State Headquarters in Lokoja.
Recall that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Kogi 2023 defeated Dino Melaye of PDP and Muritala Ajaka of SDP at November 11 poll.
Ododo in his remarks promised to fulfill his campaign promise to build on the achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello while preserving the unity of the state.
He expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received during Kogi 2023, describing it as a consolidation of the strength and unity of Kogi State.
Ododo stated, “My administration will be committed to sustaining the youth and women empowerment programs of the present administration. My resolve to provide employment for our teeming youths and ensure that education occupies the front burner of our administration remains unchanged. I promise to serve the people with commitment, integrity, and fear of God, vowing to honor the responsibility entrusted to him.”
