Kogi Fire Agency Congratulates Ododo

The Acting Director of Kogi State Fire Agency, Alhaji Salau Ozigi Umar has felicitated with Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and his Deputy Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo on their inauguration as the Executive Governor and the Deputy Governor of Kogi State.

Alhaji Umar in his congratulatory message in Lokoja shortly after the inauguration said the duo had hit the ground running by constituting the members of cabinets for proper administration.

He wished them a successful tenure of consolidation and continuity emphasising that the enduring legacies of the immediate past Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is worthy to be sustained and improved upon.

He particularly thanked Governor Bello for his interest in security of lives and properties noting that the provision of two fire engines had added value to the job of the state Fire Agency.

The Acting Director however appealed for more improvement particularly at the senatorial level saying the Kabba market that got burnt recently could have been averted or minimised if a fire station with functional engine is positioned there.

Alhaji Umar equally appealed for an improved staff strength, training and retraining of staff on recent innovation in the sector, provision of Hilux vans for speedy evacuation and rescue during emergency as well as an established fund to operate without hitch in case of emergency.

On revenue generation potential of the Kogi Fire Agency, the Director emphasised that the capacity of the revenue generation of the Agency can be tripled if the logistics are provided.
