Kwara 2023: HAKEEM LAWAL Speaks On Alliance With Other Parties
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) Governorship Candidate, Hakeem Lawal has said his party is not averse to working with other parties and interested individuals, provided it is in the everlasting interest of Kwara.
The Deputy Director, Media and Strategic Communications of the Campaign organisation, Abdulrasheed Akogun disclosed this on Thursday while reacting to insinuations that its candidate, Alh. Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal has jettisoned his GOVERNORSHIP ambition.
Akogun described the rumor as outright falsehood, malicious deceit and the handiwork of the outgoing ruling All Progressives Congress in the State, who’s jittery of the growing acceptance and impending electoral victory of our party and its candidate.
He stressed that the government is jittery, thus orchestrated the falsehood to confuse the electorates and the general public.
“Alh. Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal is not only in the GOVERNORSHIP race to win, he’s in the race in trust for the masses of Kwara, thus he’s not and would NEVER betray the trust of the masses and the collective aspiration and good governance yearnings of the good people of Kwara kept in his care.
“The malicious rumour is an attempt by the outgoing Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq led APC to thwart the wishes of the people and it has not only failed, it’ll continue to fail.
“Having realised the outcome of the disputed and largely discredited February 25 National Assembly polls was nothing but a fluke, which is farther from the reality in Kwara of today. They’ve resulted to blackmail, falsehood and outright fake news which is their stock in trade.
“We remain resolutely undaunted and religiously focused on our divinely ordained mission of rescuing Kwara from the stranglehold of a deceitful, insincere chameleonic government that holds the masses in contempt.
“While we’re not averse to working with other parties and interested individuals, provided it is in the everlasting interest of Kwara and the Kwara masses, we assure the electorates and the general masses that we will not betray their trust and confidence.
