As activities for Kwara 2027 governorship election takes shape, frontline participants in the OTOGE revolution that paved way for emergence of All Progressives Congress (APC) administration led by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq have regroup to ensure smooth transition process and protect gains of the political struggle.

The group under the aegis of Kwara Continuity Movement gave this hint on Tuesday while launching LEGACY 2027 at NUJ Press Centre, Ilorin.

The former General Manager of Harmony Holdings, Hon Abdullahi Abdulmajeed applauded Governor Abdulrazaq for unprecedented achievements across sectors and local government areas in the state.

According to him, initiatives of current administration form a coherent strategy to build a diversified, resilient economy—reducing dependence on government revenue and civil service salaries, expanding private sector participation, and creating new value chains across technology, creativity, education, hospitality, and manufacturing—creating magnets, not migration.

“Rather than exporting its brightest minds, Kwara is deliberately pulling opportunity inward. This is how a new economy is built—not by chance, but by design. When these projects fully mature, their combined impact willbe phenomenal, permanently redefining Kwara’s place in Nigeria and the global creative economy.” He explained

Abdulmajeed however cautioned Kwarans not to fall for divisive antics of opposition and elements that were rejected at the polls due to maladministration of their dynasty.

His words: “The same interests that once mortgage our future now whisper division in our midst. And within our camp, succession politics has begun to threaten what sweat, blood, and belief built. We cannot stay silent. If we sleep, the old order will return and undo the gains of reform in one season of greed.

“Legacy 2027 rises therefore as the guardian of continuing, the firewall between progress and relapse. Not against any man, but for a principle that no legacy must die because tenure ends.”

The Group also commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s stance on  not interested in building a dynasty but a legacy.  Adding that “Legacy 2027 is a direct response to that historic assertion—to give hands and legs to it; to protect it from misinformation; and to institutionalise it as a permanent governance culture. We hereby position Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and to the world as one of the greatest assets of the progressives—not only in Kwara, but the wider region and the country.”

Legacy 2027 vowed to reconciled OTOGE Ambassadors and Stakeholders in order to sustain gains recorded in the last six years.

Dignitaries at the event include Kwara Continuity Movement Convener; former House of Assembly member representing Ilorin East, Hon Ali, Former Commissioners; Ibrahim Akaje and Dr. Mrs Mopelola, former TIC Chairman, Edu Local Government,  Hon Lanbasa, ex-Special Assistant to Kwara Governor, Hon Sulaimon lekan Gadaff, Alhaji Hammed Adio, Alhaji Sambo and others.
