Kwara Commissioner, Olohungbebe Joins FG Research Commercialisation Committee
Kwara State Education and Human Capital Development Commissioner, Dr Lawal Olohungbebe, has been appointed into the Federal Government’s Research Commercialisation Policy Committee, recently constituted.
The committee was constituted by the Federal Ministry of Education to develop a national framework for translating academic research into market-driven innovations that support economic growth and sustainable national development.
Olohungbebe’s selection underscores Kwara State’s growing relevance in national education policy and human capital development, reflecting his experience in academic leadership and evidence-based policy formulation processes nationally.

The ministry commends His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for exemplary leadership that prioritises education and innovation, creating an enabling environment for Kwara State’s contributions to federal policy initiatives.
The ministry also acknowledges the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, for visionary leadership driving reforms that strengthen research commercialisation pathways and collaboration between academia, industry, and government nationwide.
The appointment reflects Kwara State’s strengthened visibility and credibility within national policy circles, supported by sustained investments in education and human capital development under the present administration of the state.
