Kwara LG Polls: Ajia Provides Financial Support For PDP Candidates

A Stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Ajia has provided financial support for Party candidates in Kwara State local government elections.

Ajia, a former gubernatorial aspirant in the 2019 election and PDP candidate for Illorin West/ Asa Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections made a generous donations to Kwara PDP state executive committee to be disbursed to Chairmanship and Councillorship candidates in Saturday’s Local government elections.

In a statement issued on Thursday rby his Director of Communications, Malam Abdulrahman Aliagan, Alhaji Ajia urged the State Working Committee and the party’s teeming supporters in Kwara State to maintain their confidence and double their efforts to ensure a convincing victory in the upcoming elections.

“It is evident that we have the numbers and supporters at the grassroots. What we lacked was the commitment and sacrifice needed on election day, which was easily the reason we lost in the two previous elections. ” Ajia expressed confidence that with renewed commitment, the party will emerge victorious.

The generous donation, which has been transferred to the state Chairman’s account, will be promptly disbursed to the various local government chairmanship candidates of the 16 local government areas. As they will in turn distributes that of the 193 Councillors contesting the election

Alhaji Ajia also urged all party faithful to abide by the extant laws guiding the conduct of the election and ensure proper documentation of happenings before, during, and after the election day.

“I wish the party and all our candidates success at the elections. I also extend my best regards to the party leadership and supporters.” The statement concludes.
