Kwara LG Polls: PDP Grassroots Movement Hails Kale Kawu

The PDP Grassroots Movement has commended Ilorin-born philanthropist, Engr. Kale Kawu for his support for the candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) during the September 21 Local Government elections in Kwara state.

The group in a statement issued on Thursday by its Convener, Afeez Abdullahi appreciated Ilorin born Philanthropist for donating funds to support PDP candidates.

According to the group, Kawu’s support for the PDP is a reflection of his love for Kwarans who are yearning for genuine change at both State and Local government levels.

“The financial support you gave our candidates through your emissary, Yusuf Sulu Gambari, was well received. Our Councillorship candidates across the 193 wards got the sum of N100,000 each, our Chairmanship candidates got N500,000 while our Chairmanship candidate in Ilorin West LG took delivery of the N1,000,000 you sent,” the group stated.

“Even though the election was marred by deliberate disenfranchisement of eligible voters and manipulation of results by the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq APC-led government, the zeal with which Kwarans went into that election is an indication that your efforts and resources didn’t go to waste. It is just a matter of time, the chickens will soon come home to roost.” The Group noted
