Kwara LG Polls: Tribunal To Deliver Judgement March 27

The Election Petition Tribunal for 2024 Kwara local government polls will on Thursday, March 27, 2025 deliver judgement in the suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Offa local government, Lukman Salahudeen.

The PDP candidate is challenging the declaration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Sulaiman Olatunji as winner of September 21, 2024 polls.

Recall that Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC) declared Sulaiman winner of the poll.

Salahudeen of PDP approached tribunal to seek redress, stating that the election was marred by irregularities.

FactualTimes reports that PDP Chairman candidate in Ilorin South and some councillorship candidates in some parts of the state are also seeking redress at the tribunal.
