Kwara NASME Partners  Govt To Host  Christmas Exhibition

…As 50 SMEs Registered To Participate in Exhibition

The Kwara State Chapter of the Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) has partnered Kwara State Government to host the inaugural Christmas and New Year Exhibition in Ilorin.

The Exhibition will provide platform for emerging entrepreneurs and small-scale businesses are actively engaged.

This remarkable exhibition is an innovative endeavor initiated by the State Government through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Muka Ray Eyiwumi.

FactualTimes gathered that 50 NASME-afflilated Nano, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NMSMEs) are gathered at the Kwara State Council for Art and Culture, Ilorin, where the exhibition is currently underway.

The program, spanning 30 days, commenced on December 5, 2023, and is slated to continue until January 5, 2024.

The Chairman of Kwara NASME, Arc. Zakirudeen Oladotun represented by his Vice, Alh. Tunde Aremu, expressed his appreciation to the state government, led by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for their collaborative efforts and recognition of the pivotal role played by NASME-affiliated SMEs in the economic growth and development of the region.

Oladotun highlighted the significance of hosting an exhibition during the festive season to enhance Christmas and New Year shopping experiences, commending the synergy between NASME Kwara and the state government for the benefit of their members.

He emphasized the exhibition’s potential as an avenue for young entrepreneurs to network, establish partnerships, cross-pollinate business ideas, and explore various opportunities.

He stated, “We are most grateful to the Kwara State Government under the able leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for its support and collaboration through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism. The government has consistently taken the lead in supporting NASME-affiliated SMEs in the state. We specifically acknowledge the tireless efforts of Hon. Muka Ray Eyiwumi in bringing this initiative to fruition.”

Furthermore, the Chairman extended his gratitude to philanthropists and various private organizations that supported NASME-affiliated SMEs for their participation.

He applauded government officials who embraced the initiative, singling out Barr. Monsurat Jumoke Abdulgafar, Special Assistant to the President on Coordination and Intergovernmental Agency Relations (Office of the AGF), as a prominent supporter and the only female amongst the public office holders who reached out to made participation more accessible for NASME Kwara members.

The list of supporters includes prominent figures such as Alhaji Jani Ibrahim, 1st Deputy President, NACCIMA and Chairman LUBCON GROUP International; Dr. Abbey Onas, Chairman, ZGM Investment Group; FEMTECH IT; Pillars Electronics; AKOT Prints; As-Sakeenah Fabrics World; and Trends Group of Companies.

Others recognized for their support are Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to Kwara State Governor; Barr. Sambo Muritala, Special Adviser on Legal Matters to Kwara State Governor; Mr. Fafoluyi Olayinka Michael, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Kwara State Governor; and Alhaji Abdulrazaq Jiddah.

This collaborative effort between NASME Kwara and the government reflects a strong commitment to fostering economic growth and providing vital opportunities for emerging entrepreneurs and small businesses in Kwara State.
