Kwara North Agenda or 3rd Third Agenda?
By Ibrahim Dauda kpoatwua
The fervor surrounding the Kwara North Agenda for the forthcoming 2027 elections has ignited intense debates and speculations. However, beneath the surface lies a complex web of motivations and hidden agendas that demand closer scrutiny.
At first glance, the call for power rotation to Kwara North appears to be a noble pursuit of equitable governance. Yet, it is imperative to delve deeper into the underlying truths behind this purported agenda. It is not enough to simply champion the cause of Kwara North without critically examining the intentions driving this movement.
Let me break it down in simpler English. What’s being packaged as the Kwara North Agenda by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq and his allies is nothing but a calculated scheme to extend the Governor’s grip on power beyond the confines of constitutional limitations. The Kwara North Agenda is merely a smokescreen for his ulterior motives to become the new Godfather (after hypocritically accusing Bukola Saraki of the same), and to cover his tracks after office.
The pawns in this evil chessgame are my beloved Kwara North, the puppets they are packing whose track record as a “yes boy” is the first red flag for any discerning persons, their subservient services should raise profound concerns for anyone interested in the future of this state. Do we want another puppet as Governor of Kwara state? No.
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq inept executive leadership of underdevelopment and house of assembly lead by Speaker Yakubu Danlade speak doom to good governance of Kwara State, the nauseating legislative brouhaha that could not question the mad expenditures in the state and debt burden of no attached project reveals the untrustworthy character of state ruling class from the two tiers of government.
There are 1001 competent Kwara northerners across the political parties can fit into the shoes, but it’s the puppets that appeal to the puppeteer most. Your guess is as good as mine.
As a proud son of Kwara North, I refuse to be blinded by the allure of these political theatrics. The imperative for genuine leadership, untainted by the shackles of servitude to political overlords, has never been more pressing. Kwara demands a leader of integrity, vision, and fortitude—a leader who is beholden only to the collective will of the people, not the whims of a single person or a family.
It is time for the people of Kwara to shine their eyes and see beyond the smoke screens of political rhetoric tagged Kwara North Agenda. The future of our state hinges on our ability to discern the truth from the illusion and demand accountability from those in power. Things are not always as they seem, and we must uncover the reality lurking beneath the surface.
The demand for equity and fairness in the ongoing government that has three more years should be our focus how the resources available would be utilize to solve the pyramid of problems confronting KWARA North and the state in general, attention digression is eschewed in strong term.
Several Questions Need To Be Answered.
