Kwarans Are Suffering From APC Govt’s Poor Planning – Hakeem Lawal
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) Gubernatorial Candidate in 2023 general elections, Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal has stated Kwarans are suffering from APC government’ insensitivity and poor planning over implementation of naira redesign policy.
Hakeem Lawal in a statement signed by Abdulrasheed Akogun, Deputy Director, Media and Strategic Communications of the Hakeem Lawal Campaign Organization, said Kwara State is worst hit by the scarcity of naira notes.
He stressed that the ruling APC has shown for the umpteenth time, that the plight of the masses is not primary in their actions and inactions.
“I share in the untoward hardship the masses, especially Kwarans are subjected to in this trying period. This hardship is largely artificial and a direct bye-product of the APC led government’s insensitivity and lack of proper planning and strategic implementation of policies,” he said
The gubernatorial hopeful added that “It’s sad that the masses are now being subjected to excruciating hardship to access two of the most important needs of daily survival, fuel and cash.
“Kwara with no fewer than 10 local Government Area of the State as rural communities is worst hit, as majority of the communities outside the city centre don’t have the basic infrastructures to support mobile banking. Thus, they’re with no access to get the new naira notes.”
He equally beseech Kwarans to remain calm and law abiding, urging them to rather transfer their grievances against the ruling APC to the polls, by ensuring that they reject the party that has brought us all this untoward hardship.
