Lagos Lawmakers Remember Abdulsobur Olawale One Year After Death


Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly on Thursday paid tribute to the late Hon. Abdulsobur Olayiwola Olawale aka Omititi, a two-term member of the House, who passed away on November 15, 2022.

The lawmakers expressed their condolences to the family of the late lawmaker, who represented Mushin Constituency 2, and offered prayers for the repose of his soul.

In her comments, the Deputy Speaker of the House, Hon. Mojisola Miranda, extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and prayed that such a loss would not occur again in their midst.

Hon. Akinsanya Nureni, representing Mushin Constituency 1, and the Chairman of the House Committee on Public Accounts (Local), informed his colleagues about the first anniversary of the death of the late politician.

Hon. Nureni described Hon. Olawale as a reserved and dedicated member of the assembly, and offered prayers for his family and loved ones.

The lawmaker highlighted the impact Hon. Olawale had in his constituency and his substantial contributions to the betterment of his people.

It will be recalled that Hon. Olawale died during the 2023 presidential campaign, which held at Rawang Pam Township Stadium in Jos.

Before his untimely demise, Hon. Olawale served as the Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

He was also the Sariki Adeen of Mushin Central Mosque, which was conferred on him in 2017.

The Lagos State House of Assembly remains deeply saddened by the loss of Hon. Abdulsobur Olawale, and his memory will be cherished by his colleagues, friends, and constituents.

The assembly continues to honour his legacy and is committed to upholding the values and principles he stood for.
