Lagos LG Polls: APC Chieftain, Bestman Hails Tinubu,Sanwo-Olu on Hitch-free Primaries
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Otunba Bestman Nze-Jumbo has commended President Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for creating enabling environment to pick Party’s candidates for forthcoming 2025 Lagos State local government elections.
Otunba Bestman Nze-Jumbo gave this commendation on Saturday after overseeing conduct of APC Councillorship Primary Election in Oshodi/Isolo local government area.
He said the hitch-free primary election for July Lagos State local government elections further confirm APC’s ideology of popular participation in political process.
According to him, what we witnessed today across Lagos State is impressive. APC has successfully conducted primary election for Chairmanship and Councillorship candidates in 20 local government areas and 37 LCDAs in a peaceful ambience.
“I served as the Chairman APC Electoral Committee for Oshodi/Isolo local government. I am happy that our Aspirants, Delegates and Leaders displayed high level of respect for party supremacy. Some Aspirants stepdown to give room for emergence of consensus Councillorship candidates. We need to appreciate President Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for providing quality leadership in the party.
“I urge our members to mobilize support for APC candidates ahead of LG Polls. This will help position the party to re-elect Tinubu come 2027.” Bestman explained.
