Lagos LG Polls To Hold July 12

The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission has fixed July 12, 2025 for  local government elections

LASIEC’s Head of Public Affairs, Tope Ojo in a statement issued on Friday said the election will hold in 20 local government areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas.

This signals the formal commencement of the electoral process for the 57 council chairmanship seats and 376 councillorship positions spread across the state.

Political Parties are expected to conduct Primary Election to select candidates between April 19 and May 31, 2025.
