Lola Ashiru, Oloriegbe Win APC Senatorial Primaries In kwara (Updated)

Winners have emerged in All Progressives Congress (APC) Primary elections for 2019 general elections conducted across Kwara state on Friday.

In Kwara Central, Dr Ibrahim Oloriegbe won Kwara central senatorial ticket after defecting Yinka Aluko and Comrade Musbau Esinrogunjo.

Dr Oloriegbe polled over 12,000 votes in four local government areas in the zone; Ilorin West, Ilorin South, Ilorin East and Asa local government area.

Hon Yinka Aluko (Esho) had over 9000votes while Esinrogunjo garnered about 7000votes.

Oloriegbe was the Action Congress Senatorial Candidate in 2011 general elections but lost to Dr. Bukola Saraki.

Our correspondent reports that Architect Oyelola Ashiru clinched the party’s senatorial ticket for Kwara South.

Ashiru, who hails from Offa will face incumbent Kwara State governor, Alhaji Abdulfatai Ahmed in next year poll.
