Moro LG Chairperson, Omotayo Presents Bus To Legislative Council
…Inspects Bode-sadu Market
The Chairperson of Moro Local Government, Alhaja Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo presented a Toyota Hiace (Hummer Bus) to members of the Legislative Council.
Alhaja Omotayo performed the symbolic presentation at the Local Government Secretariat, Bode-sadu on Monday.
The Media Assistant to the Chairperson, Shuaib AbdulWahab Alikinla in a statement says the gesture aims to address mobility challenges and enhance the council’s capacity to discharge its legislative responsibilities effectively.
According to him, this presentation comes in addition to the recent total renovation of the Council Chambers at the Secretariat another significant step toward strengthening governance infrastructure in the local government.
While receiving the vehicle, the Speaker of the Legislative Council, Hon. Adelodun Ramat, alongside other principal officers, expressed appreciation to the Chairperson for her continued support.
“I believe this will ease our operations and boost our commitment to serving the good people of Moro Local Government more efficiently,” She remarked.

After the handover ceremony, Alhaja Mariam proceeded to Kara Market in Bode-Sadu, where she met with the Serikin Fulani Arande. She appealed for continued cooperation in ensuring maximum peace and security within and around the market. She also disclosed her administration’s plan to fence the market to enhance safety and order.
The Chairperson further inspected the Bode-Sadu General Market, with particular focus on the abattoir and other sections requiring government intervention. She assured the market traders and residents of swift government response to their concerns, promising prompt action on their requests.
Earlier in the morning, while en route to her office at the Bode-Sadu Secretariat, Alhaja Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo made a strategic stop at one of her ongoing development projects the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq Modern Trailer Park located in Oloru Community.
She seized the opportunity to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the project’s current progress and engaged in productive discussions with the site engineer, project manager, and construction workers regarding strategies to expedite its completion within the shortest possible timeframe.
The Modern Trailer Park is expected to significantly reduce traffic-related accidents while substantially contributing to revenue generation and the overall socio-economic development of the local government area.
Accompanying the Chairperson during the day’s engagements were the Vice Chairman of the Local Government, Alhaji Sulyman AbdulRazaq Oluwatoyin Adaara; the Secretary of the Council, Mallam Muhammad Nurudeen; the Supervisors for Works, Health, and Agriculture; the Director of Personnel Management, Mr. Arinde Olalekan; the Head of the Works Department; and other senior local government officials.
