Natasha’s Homecoming: Kogi Government Bans Political Rally

Kogi State Government has banned political rallies ahead of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Udanghan’s homecoming.

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Udanghan planned to visit her Constituents in Kogi Central on Tuesday April 1, 2025.

The visit will be Natasha’s first physical outing after Senate suspended her for six months on March 6.

Meanwhile, Kogi State Government has announced a total ban on rallies and public gatherings amid rising security concerns across various parts of the state.

According to a statement issued on Monday by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the government has received credible intelligence indicating plans by some elements to stage violent protests under the guise of political and religious agitations.

Additionally, concerns have been raised over unauthorized individuals posing as security personnel to infiltrate the state and cause unrest.
