National Assembly Gets New Clerk
Barrister Kamorudeen Ogunlana has assumed office as the 9th Clerk to the National Assembly (CNA) following the retirement of Sani Magaji Tambawal.
The handover ceremony, held at the National Assembly on Saturday evening, saw the outgoing CNA, Sani Magaji Tambawal, transfer the duties to Ogunlana in the presence of management staff and dignitaries
In his address, Tambawal expressed his gratitude for the smooth transition and handed over the responsibility to Ogunlana
The new Clerk, Ogunlana commended his predecessor for exemplary leadership and achievements during his tenure.
He emphasised the evolving role of the CNA, noting the significance of managing over 4,000 staff and 7,000 legislative aides, as well as the responsibility of coordinating visits by high-ranking officials.
