Nigeria, UAE Partner to Boost Digital Education for Youths
Nigeria’s Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Olawande Emmanuel Ayodele, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE Digital School, under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), to enhance access to digital education and practical skills development for millions of young Nigerians.
The agreement, officially signed yesterday in Dubai, marks a major step in Nigeria’s drive to equip its youth for effective participation in the global digital economy. It builds on earlier engagements between Nigeria and UAE officials held in July 2025, aimed at strengthening cooperation in youth and digital development.
According to the Minister, the partnership represents more than a formal agreement, it is a commitment to empower Nigerian youths with essential skills, tools, and opportunities to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
In his remarks during the signing ceremony, Comrade Ayodele expressed deep appreciation to the Government and people of the United Arab Emirates for their hospitality, leadership, and enduring support for global development.
“What we celebrate today goes beyond Nigeria; it stands as a symbol of shared responsibility, shared progress, and shared hope for the youth of both nations,” he stated.
He also acknowledged the contribution of Sapphital Limited, the technical partner to the project, and commended his team at the Federal Ministry of Youth Development for their dedication to achieving the milestone.
“To our technical partner, Sapphital Limited, and my dedicated team at the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, thank you for your commitment to this vision. I am confident that this partnership we have all worked hard to achieve will deliver real impact for our youth and for our nation,” he added.
The collaboration is expected to open new avenues for digital learning, innovation, and employability, positioning Nigerian youth as key contributors to the knowledge-driven global economy.
