NILDS Director General Commends Uganda Govt for Prioritising Capacity Building
The Director General National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Prof Abubakar Sulaiman has commended the Government of Uganda for prioritising capacity building of public officials.
Prof Sulaiman gave this commendation on Tuesday while declaring open a Capacity Building Workshop organized by NILDS for Members of the Budget Committee of the Ugandan Parliament.
The workshop, which commenced on Monday focuses on the Effective Utilization of Constituency Development Funds (CDF) for enhanced parliamentary representation.
According to him, Through an in-depth study of Nigeria’s CDF model, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure proper oversight, allocation, and monitoring of funds for impactful development.
He appreciated Uganda government for entrusting NILDS with this crucial responsibility of advancing legislative excellence.
