The Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial district, Oyelola Ashiru has received accolades for his unprecedented projects facilitation/execution in Omuaran, the headquarters of Irepodun Local Government area.
The Omuaran Descendants Association (ODA), under the leadership of Major General Olayemi Lazeez Abidoye (rtd) gave the commendation on Friday, during Senator Oyelola’s Interactive Session with ODA national executive at Omuaran, to kick start his second term campaign.
The ODA, speaking through the National Public Relations Officer, Mr. Olayinka Owolewa, praised Sen. Oyelola Ashiru for many impactful projects in Omuaran town, which includes roads, Vocational Centre, amongst others within three years in office.
While at the palace, which was the first port of call, the Senator used the opportunity to reel out his scorecard in health, infrastructural development, empowerment, tourism upgrade, education and vocational trainings to address issue of unemployment.
The Olomu in council speaking through Chief Olupona, Alhaji Abdulazeez Adeniyi, said the Senator has only come to get the reward of his good deeds in Omuaran and commended him for walking his talk in the development of the Senatorial district. The council prayed for his success at the polls.
Senator Ashiru, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Kwara South in 2023 general elections, while addressing Olomu in Council, Artisans, Market Women and APC stakeholders, promised to facilitate more projects and attract federal presence across the seven Local Government areas in the district.
He therefore promised to attract more impactful projects to every part of Kwara South Senatorial district, when elected come 2023.
The visitation was led by Prince Olarewaju Shuaib (Sofab), a respected party chieftain and Alhaji Abdulazeez Yakubu, the APC Irepodun LG chairman. Part of the Senator entourage includes, APC Irepodun House of Assembly Candidate, Hon. Shola Odetudun, Lola Ashiru Campaign Organisation directors led by the DG, Chief S.K Olosunde, Chief Aare Adeoti, Hon. Bolaji Raji amongst other party faithfuls.
