The Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya on called for more synergy between federal government and states to tackle insecurity in the country.
Governor Inuwa made this on Monday when he met with both the Minister of Defence, Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar, and the Minister of State for Defence, Mohammed Bello Matawalle.
They met behind closed doors at Defense Headquarters, Abuja to discuss matters of national importance, especially on strengthening synergy between the federal and state governments to reinforce security measures, particularly in the Northern region and across Nigeria.
The Governor recognized for his unrelenting effort towards maintaining peace and tranquility in Gombe State.
He said he has always been harping on the need for a unified approach and leveraging both federal and state resources to enhance security infrastructure and operations.
