Obasa Shows Support At Inner Wheel Club 100th Anniversary
The Speaker Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has commended the International Inner Wheel Districts 911 and 912 in Lagos for their dedicated service and humanitarian efforts to the less privileged.
He stated this during a peace rally held at the Lagos Assembly, Alausa Complex, by the non-governmental organization to commemorate their 100th year of friendship and service to the people of Lagos State.
The Inner Wheel members were received by Hon. Prince Nureni Ayinde Akinsanya (Rep. Mushin Constituency I) and Hon. Rasheed Shabi (Rep. Lagos Mainland II) on behalf of the speaker of the Lagos House of Assembly.
Speaking on behalf of the Speaker, Hon. Prince Nureni Ayinde Akinsanya, Chairman of the House Committee on Public Account (Local), assured the organization of the Assembly’s continuous support.
He emphasized the commitment of the leadership to ensure that every citizen benefits from the good governance of the state.
“The Lagos State House of Assembly sets a standard of excellence that is above all. Let me first say congratulations and wish you a happy 100th anniversary. I wish you the best of luck,” said Akinsanya.
He urged them to continue with the work they have been doing. Assuring them of the speaker’s support for the organization. “Be rest assured that my boss, the Right Honorable Speaker, Dr. Obasa, will not relent but strive to do more. We will make sure your message reaches the speaker.”
In her earlier remarks, PDC Adejumoke Anike Odulaja stated that the purpose of the peace rally was to rally support for the organization and make a greater impact on the less privileged in Lagos State. She expressed gratitude to the government for their ongoing support and called for continued partnership in order to further assist those in need.
“We have been changing lives and working hand in hand with the government to improve the lives of the less privileged. Women all over the world are celebrating the 100th year of the formation of the International Inner Wheel,” said Odulaja.
