The Senator representing Kwara Central at the National Assembly, Senator Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe has reaffirmed his determination to ensure the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital at Budo Egba in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State take off smoothly.
Oloriegbe stated this on Friday during his inspection visit to the hospital site.
The Senator who is the Chairman Senate Committee on Health explained that Kwara State government has pledged to upgrade community Cottage Hospital for the takeoff.
He said the project, when completed will not only provide quality healthcare service to the community but also increase socioeconomic activities of the area and create employment opportunities for its residents.
Earlier, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Raji Rasaq commended Senator Oloriegbe for facilitating the project to the community, noting that with the Federal government presence in Budo Egba through the Neuropsychiatric Hospital, the community will not remain the same.
Dr Raji Rasaq who congratulated the people of Budo Egba for accepting the project in their domain maintained that the synergy between the State Government and its Federal lawmakers has continued to bring positive results for the State in terms of improved infrastructural development.
He said the state government will not renege in its drive to provide quality health service delivery to the nook and crannies of the State and this is manifested with the provision of a 100-bed Children and Women Hospital at Eyenkorin and another Health facility at Otte-Oja.
Reacting to the development, the spokesperson of the Community, Alhaji Yinusa Oniboki applauded the zeal of Senator Oloriegbe for extending the gesture to the community, noting the entire residents of Budo-Egba is grateful for his unprecedented strides.
Alhaji Oniboki who was elated with the project confirmed the unflinching support of the community to Senator Oloriegbe and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq in their efforts to move the state to the next level.
