Olukoro Killing: Senator Ashiru Reacts, Calls for Establishment of State Internal Security Outfit
The Senator representing Kwara South, Oyelola Ashiru, has condemned the killing of Olukoro of Koro, Oba Segun Aremu by unknown gunmen on Thursday.
Senator Ashiru described the gruesome murder of Oba Segun Aremu, a retired Military General as shocking, disheartening and regrettable.
He noted that the stakeholders in Kwara South and the state at large would continue to work together to end the growing insecurity in the senatorial district.
The Senator consoled the people of Koro and entire Ekiti local government area of Kwara State, noting Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has since deployed security operatives to ensure release of abducted Olori and two others.
He further calls for immediate establishment of Kwara State internal security outfits like other states to combat the growing insecurity in the state.
